Day 1...Beni to Jomsom via Ghasa

Beni (28°21'0N 83°34'0E ) is the district headquarters of Myagdi District in Dhawalagiri Zone, Nepal located at the confluence of the Kali Gandaki River and Myagdi River at an altitude of 899 metres. Beni is the gateway to Muktinath. Earlier, it was a 8-9 days trek to reach Muktinath.
But now, there are bus and taxi services from Beni to Jomsom. We reached Beni around 9 AM after a comfortable luxury taxi ride from Pokhara. Now, from Beni we took The Most Dangerous Bus Journey. Our bus was upto Ghasa. We'll have to take another bus for Jomsom.
So, after buying tickets we took our seats in "Basant Express" (Our Bus).
The road was just a wide trek trail full of bolders. Our bus hopped over the trail and we on our seats. We had our lunch at Tukuche a small village. Just after an hour journey from Tukuche our bus broke down. The situation was more adventurous when our driver
discovered that there was no mobile connection in that area.
So, the driver had to take up the job of mechanic with the guidance and supervision of the passengers. One such passenger was our team member who had some experience on Diesel Gensets... After a struggle for 3 hours the problem was fixed and the driver was really happy with the "Famous Mechanic from India".

At last we reached Ghasa and started our next part of Bus journey to Jomsom. It was already dusk and the last part of the journey was through darkness. It was dark when we reached Jomsom. We managed to get a room in a local hotel for that night.
